Working through the plans together · Hudson Design and Build
Care. Clarity. Craftsmanship.
Two brothers. A shared vision.
Brothers Patrick and Jeremy Hudson want to build something lasting in the place they call home: exceptional mountain homes and a company where people can see a future for themselves.
They’re putting the same care into both, creating room for growth minded tradespeople to develop their craft, build careers they’re proud of and raise families here in the Green Mountains.
Founder & lead designer
Patrick Hudson
A builder’s roots. A designer’s eye.
Patrick founded Hudson Design and Build. Born and raised in Vermont, he learned the trades while going to school, working alongside hardnosed, old school builders who taught him to do things right and respect the craft. He knew he’d found his career.
He complemented that foundation with studies in Architectural Building Technologies and Sustainable Design at Vermont Technical College, now part of Vermont State University, bringing traditional building knowledge together with modern technology and building practices.
Starting out during the financial crisis tested that commitment and made him more resourceful and resilient. He built a reputation as a kindhearted, hardworking builder who cares about doing right by people and brings an artist’s eye to the work.
Patrick lives off grid on ten acres atop a Vermont mountain, beyond the sounds of cars and neighbors. That daily connection to the land is part of the perspective he brings to each home.
Outside work, Patrick spends much of his time with his three girls, coaching them in soccer, alpine skiing and ski jumping. He also enjoys exploring Vermont’s backroads.
Managing Partner
Jeremy Hudson
Business experience. Built into the company.
Jeremy brings 25 years of business experience in B2B technology sales, ecommerce and consumer goods, with a career spanning startups and a global company. With a business school foundation, his background combines executive leadership, financial management, sales, marketing and entrepreneurship, including building Hudson Durable Goods into an Amazon bestselling workwear brand that was later acquired by an investment group.
A technologist by nature, Jeremy focuses that experience on the business behind the build: clear responsibilities, sound financial management, strong systems and a team equipped to deliver. Alongside Patrick’s building knowledge and creative direction, his role is to help the company grow with discipline and accountability.
When he’s not obsessing about business, Jeremy spends his free time with his wife and two young boys. They enjoy chasing powder on their snowboards and playing soccer.

The character behind the work
Humble roots. High standards.
Patrick and Jeremy come from humble beginnings. Hard work, resourcefulness and patience shaped their approach: keep your word, take responsibility and put lasting value ahead of quick rewards.
Our team of Vermonters and New Englanders has been shaped by life in these mountains. Long winters, steep terrain and a demanding climate teach resourcefulness, preparation and respect for the place. We bring that practical experience to the homes we build and the people we work with.
